Please, someone help me! For two and a half years now, I've been battling a skin disorder located under and around my pointer finger and nail. From time to time it transfers to the thumbs and the pointer finger on my other hand. It seems to have started under the nail. The skin will form anywhere from tiny to dime-sized-looking blisters (dry, no moisture underneath), then the skin sloughs off, or I feel compelled to peel it off. The skin seems to die and new (skin) forms below it and the cycle repeats itself. My finger(s)looks awful! It really looks like I have a terrible disease. I've been to a dermatologist three times for this now with no success in clearing this condition up. He's given me over the counter topical ointments to apply, which seem to assist it some, but doesn't rid myself of whatever's going on. I supplement with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes, and am interested in correcting this condition in the most natural way possible. However, if only a heavy duty drug will correct it; then I'm definitely to the point that I'd welcome the relief. The pointer finger on my right hand already feels like I have a thimble on it all of the time! The skin has become hard, as it continues to allow me to peel it away. Any advice?!? I don't know where to turn anymore. I'd like to find another specialist than my local ones for a second opinion, or at least some testing. Will be anxiously awaiting to hear from anyone. Thanks.
