i too have a hiatal hernia with acid reflux. life was hell for a long time i couldn't swallow food, i just hated to eat. i would have to through up to try to get the food down. then i was put on tagamet that helped with the acid but not the swollowing problem. for that i took previcide. what a life saver. now i take aciphex, that replaces the other drugs with one pill.i'am like a new person. no heart burn or swollowing problem at all.good luck. give it a shot.
