My son, who is now 14 years old, has had severe stomach pain most of his life. He suffered extremely the first 6 months of his life and then had a couple of "good" years. It has become worse over the years and he has now been away from school for 2 months! The pain is worst in the morning and till about 5 or 6 pm. He has had all kinds of tests and examinations taken (finally) and the hospital cannot find the reason. He grows and developes normally, has no other symptoms, just pain and pain again. He says the stomach is always painful, but he gets severe cramps that just seem to become more powerful and lasting longer. Can anybody help us? It does not seem to me that this is a typical IBS since he has not other problems than pain. Desperate mother
