I have fibromyalgia which often accompanies chronic fatigue/epstein barr virus. My Doc told me there is no test available at this time to confirm the diagnosis of chronic fatigue, but......they can see if your anti-bodies for the epstein virus are present and elevated. Like you, I had mono as a kid (16) and my immune system hasn't been the same since (now 46). I get everything I come in contact with - especially what my daughter brings home from school. I do my best by taking vitamins, seeing someone for my chronic pain, and trying to stay positive. The epstein barr virus can really leave you feeling exhausted and possibly depressed. The best source of medicine right now is you. If you have a spiritual connection - use it, laugh - watch something funny, talk to someone who makes you laugh, or find a funny website. When the sun shines (and this can be the hardest part when you feel like you cannot drag yourself out of bed or off the couch - get outside and feel the sun and its energy. Listen to the birds and watch them play. Feel the wind in your face or fly a kite, etc.etc. If there was a magic pill I would tell you about it, but my prescription might help.
