my wife has been given a provisional diagnosis of pyriform syndrome. she has often complained of a shooting pain starting in the lower back which travels down her leg, usually when she is sitting. she thinks it is work related, as she used to work as a nurse, and in the course of her duties had to shift heavyweight invalid patients several times during the day. she used to complain of back pain in those days, but we just put it down to tiredness following a hard day's work. She used to be very active, now the discomfort is severely limiting her activities. would like any information on this debilitating syndrome, please? someone who is similarly affected, and been successfully treated? thanks in advance, gerard
