My now 35 yr old daughter had a similar problem at birth. She was unable to keep her feedings down in the hosp, bottle fed, and they finally discovered a small valve in her throat that was not closing properly after eating, therefore everything came back up. I was advised to prop her for feedings, all of which I held her for, and she had to be propped for sleeping, in the cradle 'til three months and even the crib until she was able to turn over by herself. This took about six months for this valve to close I hope this info is of some help to you, be sure to ask your doctor about it.
