I saw your message on RSD. I don't know much about the food eating part. But my daughte who is almost 16 was diagnosed with RND when she was 12. It is painful likd RSD. It affects the blood vessels which can close ( or try too) up which means the blood and oxgyen don't get where they need to be. And its this that causes the intense pain. The only treatment for this is ( was ) 6 hours of intense physical and occcupational therapy. And she did this for 10 days before she was sent home from Children's hospital in Seattle, Wa. And this is the only Children's Hospital that has this program. And she's been pain free since. There were days when we had to wait to get her in( believe it or not but there wasn't a bed avaiable for almost two weeks) that she couldn't walk. So you might want to check it out. It might be the same treatment they do for RSD. You should be connected to the rhumatology dept. The head doctor there is named Dr. Sherry. He could tell you if the program he developed and started would help your sister with RSD. Let me know what happens. And I can understand what she's going thru besides my daughter having had RND. She also has Fibromaylgia and so do I. There are many support groups on the internet . And teenagers her age she could talk to. Hope this helps. Feel free to e-mail me. Included in the subject that its has to do with RSD or I won't open it not knowing who its from.
