I had a 4 level crevical fusion almost 20 years ago. I was spared having the axis fused so no one knows I had it done. Granted I went through the pains of h--- for a while and had to learn a whole new way of doing things for a while. The funniest thing and the hardest to learn was trying to eat with the hard Philidelia coller on. It was hard for a while,really hard, but if I had to do it over again, I would do it. If I hadnt had it done when I did, I would be a total cripple now. If I was asked what is the hardest thing I have to put up with now, I would have to say" trying to look down and find the latch on a seat belt. I will be OK, believe me. Peggy Coleman
