I just read your message and thought I would respond. I don't mean to sound harsh but your disease is not life threatening and maybe you are overly concerned. Can you cover the little veins with makeup? The reason I say all this, is a year ago I nearly died from a vasculitis disease called Churg Strauss Syndrome which causes the small to medium size blood vessels inside your body to become inflamed and left undiagnosed and untreated can lead to death. That is what happened in my case. I am taking chemo and pred now and have been doing so for the past year and will probably be on the chemo another year and hope to get off the pred in a few more months but may always have to take low doses of the pred in some form because the disease effected my lungs, heart, kidneys and skin. My lungs the worst I think because I developed asthma shortly before the CSS diagnosis and all I have read says many cases have to live with the asthma the rest of their lives. I will have to be monitored for the rest of my life because this is a disease that can kill you if not controlled. I don't mean to be judgmental but at times when I have felt the worst and thought I was in the worst condition, I read where someone else was much worse than I and it made me thankful to be in the condition I was in because I could be much worse. Last time this year I was literally dying and did not even know it. God bless you and I hope your medication works. Sarah Jo King
