Please have your MD do a lower head & cervical neck MRI. I too suffered and as I aged the pain was worse and more debilitating. After several years of being told they could not find a reason for my symptoms, I finally insisted on seeing a neurologist. There is a condition called Arnold-Chiari, elongation of the cerebellum tonsils that as you age progress to the point where they put pressure on the spinal cord and base of the brain. This pressure is what c auses the symptoms. Also does not allow the cerebral spinal fluid to flow freely within the spinal column. Just ask..your MD. It is often misdiagnosised. An operation (not a pleasant one) is usually required to correct the problem. However, since the operation 3 years ago, I am virtually pain free. Good luck.
