If it were not for Early Childhood Intervention, I don't know what I would have done. My son was diagnosed at 2 1/2 as autistic. Thanks to the wonderful people at ECI, I was able to be directed to the right doctors and agencies for my son. I would highly suggest finding an Intervention program in your area. You would not believe the world of help there is for you with an autistic child. My son is now 6 1/2 and still does not speak, but because of the programs he was able to take advantage of because of his early diagnosis, we are able to communicate somewhat. He goes to school daily and is a very special child. He also participates in Equine Therapy. Good luck to you, and don't give up!! Peace, Celi Bothwell
