Hi, I am not a doctor but I am a mother of a 16 year old boy that has Crohn's disease. I have him going to a specialist for this disease. It is my feeling that he has had this for sometime due to now knowing what it is and what his symptons are. He was just told this in April 2001. He has had problems for sometime with pain, etc. He is now on medication and is doing better. He was in the hopsital for sometime. He was in the hopstial in 1999 and they did not find it then as they told me that it is very hard to find.Hope this helps, as I know it is hard to cope with this problem. Now that we know what it is we are all dealing with it and handling it. I think when didn't know what the problem was with him we were very worried and upset. We still have to deal with it but at least we know what his problems are now. I would strongly suggest getting him to a specialist or a doctor that will refer him onto one. Thanks for listening. MJ
