That sounds like one of the most frustrating stories I've ever heard. Children are more prone to Crohn's than older people. I got it in my early 20's but I've been to Crohn's meeting (ilitis and colitic foundation)and there was a woman there that had two children in elementary school that with crohn's. It was so sad. She cried while she told stories of how cruel the other kids were when her children would lose control at school. Don't let this quack tell you children don't get it. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Do some research on your own (internet) you'll learn this for yourself. Tell your daughter to call her insurance company and complain. Have her tell them she insists that she be able to take her child to a pediatric gastro!!! Go over these doctors head and go straight to the insurance company. No matter if he has Crohn's or something else. His problem is in his digestive track, he needs to see a gastro! I hope this all works out for your daughter and grandson. Take care!!
