I just had gallbladder surgery last week and like the rest of you, I wasn't given any dietary help post surgery. My doctor told me that I could go back on the Atkins diet (which I was on for 5-monts prior to surgery). I'm a little bit afraid though since it's such a high fat diet. So far, all I've been eating is low-fat yogurt, cranberry juice, chicken noodle soup, and small pieces of chicken and I've been fine except that I have diarrhea. I figured this was because I haven't had much solid food but from reading all of your emails, I'm not sure now. It's only been 8 days since my surgery so I have a lot to discover about myself.
