Tanja, I was also diagnosed with soft tissue leiomyosarcoma, I had a surgery done to my stomach. I still have it in the liver, and on my left lung lobe. The cause of my desease was "Agent Orange" from the Viet-Nam War. It is 30 years since I left Nam, and it only came out in the last year. Right now I am getting in to a Trial at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. I was told the same thig, that Chemo, or radiation would not work. The Doctor at the VA Medical Center in Omaha offered me Chemo. He also told me that the success rate is only 20%. I will take my chanc in January with the Drug STI 571 at the Anderson Cancer Center.
