Six years of misery and can,t take one more day. Have been to numerous neurol- ogists. half say I've got atypical menieres and and the r the rest say its atypical migraine. As I recall my first symptom occurred while using a treadmill. I gazed slightly to the side, completely lost my balance and was thrown from the treadmill. Several weeks later I experienced temp- orary hearing loss and felt like faint- ing every time I stood up. By the time I got to the ENT my hearing had returned a week later. I passed every vestibular test known to man. Since that time approximately one week a month I exper- ience loss of balance and a whooshing sound in my head that seems more intense when my eyes are open. When these symp- toms occur they are continuous and last from one to two weeks. I am a nurse and have had to give that up because I can not commit to a full time job. At this point it's hard to commit to anything. I have had numerous MRA/MRI's occipital artery biopsies, lyme testing and even a cerebral angiogram- all negative. I'm also experiencing memory loss and difficulty finding words. I know this was a little wordy but any help or advice would be a godsend.
