Boy can I relate to this! I have been suffering from this for over ten years. (I am 53; however, I have actually had similar symptoms since I was a about 16.) I thought it was related to back problems, as I have an injury from an accident. I had seen numerous doctors, lived on muscle relaxants and tylenol...nothing really helped. I did discover that wearing any clothing with elastic or a tight waist increased the pain and spasm. In addition, I had developed severe, debilitating nausea and constant diahrea...I was down to 100 pounds;(this had been going on for three years; I was on anti-nausea and anti-diahreal meds daily.) I thought I had some horrible disease like cancer. I saw allergists and gastro-enterologists re: allergies...no one had any experience with this...Last winter I purchased this computer and began researching food allergies online. I found ONE BRIEF PARAGRAPH,written by an allergy sufferer, re: allergy to aspirin and food allergies. I KNOW I am allergic to aspirin, so I ordered numerous books on food allergy from Amazon; I found one book with info on the link between aspirin allergy and food allergy...(Most fruits and veggies contain salicylic acid.) Also listed are things like vinegar, olive oil,salad dressings and all salad veggies except lettuce...tomato products...the list is endless. I discontinued all of these foods and experienced a dramatic improvement! My entire life has improved! I still get bloating and pain when I eat things on the list, but now I can control the frequency and extent of the problem, by eating small amounts, infrequently. Please feel free to contact me with any questions...I believe you are suffering something similar to my own symptoms; even if the source is not the same, I think you must have severe food allergies.
