I used to have fever blisters on my mouth a lot- several times a year. They went away for several years, but I got one in December when my sister was in the hospital. I just assumed this was from stress, but now I have another one. I think this may be related to a sunburn I got about two days ago. Does anyone know if the sun can cause an outbreak. Also, why has this come back? Does this type of herpes have periods of remission? Does anyone know how to prevent outbreaks or how to promote quick healing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
