hi...i know what ur going thru, my son had a similiar problem and i had asked his dr about it and wanted some test done but the school is always against it cuz it takes to much time and they told me it could be the way things are at home..i was livid at that statement.my son cannot sit still long enough unless its something ot his interest and long talks at home as well, they finally ran test at school and came to find out that he does not adhd or add just that he hears u what your saying but he doesnt quit understand what is being told to him that he needs time to process in his mind what is being told , but eventually the answer will come out.he passed all his test and was not put on ridiln at all cuz i didnt want that ..do you do anything with him at home..if not make a game out of everything you do..i do with my son and i also got him reader rabbit and he loves it..its been documented as well when he goes into second grade so it doesnt affect him and the teacher should be aware of it as well thinking that he doesnt want to learn but to let then know that he does have a slight disability to understand and comprehend. force the issue with ur dr that the school should run a test and if not take it to the school boeard and have em explain why its such a big deal to have something done , its the welfare for ur child and ur majorilay concern for him , i did ..hope everything goes well for you.
