I think you should have your daughter have an ECG/EKG to check her heart, especcially since you said that her father also had seizures when younger but eventually outgrew them. There is a heart disorder named Long QT Syndrome that has symptoms of faintin, that can be misdiagnosed as seizures, my daughter also suffered from them from age 2, it took us almost 3 years before finding out it was her heart and Long QT Syndrome, this is genetic so we had the whole family tested and found four of our five children to have this. With treatment they have been well. She was tested neurologicaly for epilepsy, and the doc's told us in the beginning because of her age that it was febrile convulsions and she would outgrow them, when she continued it was scary and got worse as time went on and they would last longer. Please hvae and ECG done and mention that you want her tested for Long QT Syndrome, it may not be this but is well worth testing.
