Hi Carol...sorry to hear you have been so miserable. I understand completely...with the fusion (I have cervial spine fusion) can you exercise at all? Along with Fibro. I too have arthritis, total knee replacement and spinal stenosis. My doc. has me on ultram, paxil and doxepin (antidepressents), vicodin when the day is more than I can stand, and tylenol, since I am allergic to NSAID's. If you possible can, try to walk or whatever at least a little every day...even for l5 minutes. I have days where I just cannot, but most of the time I do, and I think it helps a little, even if it is just mentally. My doc. has atleast heard of fibro. and seems interested in my pain. I also started going to a fibro. support group...I'll let you know if I think it helps after I attend a few more times. Have you tried heat for lower back pain? I could not settle down at the end of the day if I did not use it. I wish you luck and much less pain. BeeZee
