I continue to pray that research will find the reason for fibromyalgia. I have learned that I cannot rely on the medical profession for the answer (they have none!). I suffered many, many years before diagnosed with fibromyalgia ... severe back pain, severe hip pain, irritable bowel, inability to sleep. My doctor gave me a cortizone shot in hip, which did help tremendously and put me on Amitriptyline and naproxen. Do they help? Very questionable. I learned that I must be very active in my own treatment (because doctors were of no help!). I started taking glyconutrients, which certainly have helped. Natural products take longer in which you feel the difference, however they do not have the side effects that are found in pharmacheudicals. I tool Mannatech products in abundance and begin to find relief after six months. I also developed extreme pain in my heels; explained to my doctor, who did nothing. I talked to a physical therapist and began therapy that zeroed in on my feet. I did get my doctor to give me a referal for PT. The physical therapist was wonderful and soon the pain in my feet began to subside. I wear orthodics and continue with the strengthening exercises he had me do. The Mannatech products have relieved my irritable bowel. I still struggle with sleep, and have times with little sleep and other times I can sleep pretty good. I am not totally free of all the problems fibromyalgia brings, but have felt so much better. I pray for you because I truly understand the frustration that comes with this stuff. Chronic pain is tough. God bless you my friend. Norma
