This is a very touchy subject. Not too long ago, EVERYONE with epilepsy felt they had to hide their epilepsy if they were going to work. Things are changing, SLOWLY. In my experience, as long as you are up front about your epilepsy, telling them exactly what to expect, what to do, etc. most employers are much better with this than they used to be. As far as epilepsy being covered by the ADA, that's still up in the air following a ruling by the supreme court recently. I honestly believe it should, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I am president and co-founder of LAB Epilepsy Research Group, Inc., a nonprofit epilepsy support and resource organization. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions. I hope I helped a little!
