You are right about it being scarey to see someone else seize. My husband has epilepsy and I have dealt with not only my own fears but those of our 2 childrens and other family members that have seen it happen. I used to be scared and not sure what would help, but now I find that I am irritated. We have been married for 15 years and he has always had epilepsy, but the last 6 months have been terrible with more seizures than I can count. He has been referred to the Epilepsy Clinic in Ann Arbor for help. I am hoping they will be able to restore our family life and our spirits. There is a sense of hopelessness that surrounds epilepsy since it can very rarily be cured.
