I have suffered with debilitating piriformis syndrome and bursitis of the right hip for two and a half years. All the local doctors wanted to attribute the pain to a bad disc. Luckily they could never find one or I am sure they would have operated. No one I can find really believes there is such a thing as piriformis! Even though it is so tight that the muscle is pulling the hip out of the socket in certain positions. I have been told the "muscle imbalance" will chew up the hip cartilage and I will need a hip replacement eventually!! Isn't there any doctor in the midwest who understands and treats this preventively?
