No, you cannot get chickenpox twice, although, if you had an extremely mild case I would think you may be able to get it twice, I'm not sure. Shingles is caused by the chicken pox virus, varicela. People who are immune compromised,or elderly get shingles when they come in contact with the chicken pox virus the second time around. You can get shingles more than once. Good luck to you.
