Nerve Blocks

Carla

Message 6 of 7 Previous Next

Hi, I have had many nerve blocks and also many different kinds of nerve blocks. So, it depends on what kind the doctor is going to do and where the block is going to be. I never took any kind of medication an hour before my blocks. I just went to his office with my daughter because I wasn't allowed to drive afterwards for that day. There are so many different nerve blocks, I have had most of them.I have RSD since 1995 and unfortunately was not dianosed within the first 3 months so that all the treatments would work better. A couple kinds of blocks you just lay there and don't move while he is doing them, they don't take long at all. I have had many in my neck and back but moreso in my neck. After having a couple of them, I got used to them, I never really felt the needle go in either. But like I said there are many different kinds of nerve blocks and given in different parts of the body. So you have to find out what kind he is giving you. Hopefully you will get relief from them. After you have the nerve block, someone is suppose to drive you home and you are to rest for that day. I hope that I helped you and good luck.
