everyone with cmv is on a list with the centre for diease control, once you have cmv you have it for life, the only treatments are for babies and people with HIV and even then it only helps the symptoms and does not get rid of cmv. The main problem people have as adult sufferers is chronic fatigue syndrome. Our daughter was stillborn because I did not know i had cmv and the virus flared up while i was pregnant. It can become dormant but flares up at any time. I have spent the last three and a half yrs doing research. It has been found recently that a good diet can help. Let me know if I can help further.
