Hi I'm sorry too hear your dad is having a hard time, what makes it worse is the medical profession knows so little about cmv really. I had a baby stillborn to cmv and since then have done alot of research about all aspects of cmv. There is really nothing that can be done, some doctors will treat babies but I have not heard of adults being given meds for cmv other than HIV related cmv. Latest info has found a good diet can help, the main problem adults complain of is chronic fatigue and muscle pains. If you have any questions let me know.
