A Morton's neuroma is a nerve tumor found between the third and fourth toes. It's extremely painful. I had one for a number of years and heels were completely eliminated because all the pressure of walking focused right on that nerve. The tumor is benign and the best way to treat it is to have it removed. It is out-patient surgery (I actually drove home which was a little dumb-I had a clutch) but once the stitches come out, it heals very quickly and you have no more pain. My surgery was 14 years ago and still no pain. See an orthopedist about having it removed. Barb
