i had L4/L5 removed and fused and i have permanent nerve dages to my lower ler and foot, the insicion will go away , it takes time for something major to heal...i was told within 8 weeks ur feelings of numbness will come back, well its bee 5 yrs and im still waiting, i went thru alot of more test for my nerves and came to conclusion that i sufficient amount of scar that is wrapped around my nerve that it has choked it , i will be having another surgery in the same site on may 15 and i know what to expect , but my SI they will leave alone due to being more complicated procedure, i can live with that thru massages, hot and cold compresses etc..you just had the surgery so by next week u will feel the differeance...give it time.
