I am a certified fitness trainer and this is the nutritional program I use for most of my clients. 1. Eat 6 small meals a day, each containing 1/6 of your daily protien requirement (1 gram protien for every pound of LEAN mass - you will have to have a body fat analysis to know how many total grams of protien you need). Use healthy carbohydrates - fresh fruits and vegies, whole grains. Avoid useless startches such as white bread or white rice. Limit your fruit to the morning when you need to raise your blood sugar. The most important part is the eating first thing in the morning and 6 times a day. Ask your Dr. to refer you to a neutritionalist. Most people will loose weight at 1500 calories a day - but you have to spread them out - nibble all day long but count your calories. Your body is telling you that it requires an even flow of energy going in all day long.
