I was asthamatic since childhood and was advised tonsilectomy by my doctor.I was 21 when i had the surgery done.It took three hours for the surgery because they said they could not stop the bleeding.The bad part is that while recovering from pain from the fourth day onwards I started to lose my memory and the surgeon said he could not help me.After a lot of medications from a general practitioner I recovered but till date cannot sleep naturally. Research has shown me that because of the position you are placed in while your tonsils are being removed it is likely that your jaw musceles and back nusceles and neck musceles get torn or affected.Also since the cavity of your mouth is reshaped other complications may arise such as snoring in sleep.I have consulted an ENT a neurologist a psychiatrist and have had my brian scanned but but everything appears to be okay.Yet i continue to suffer for the last more than 25 yrs.There are other ways of treating tonsilitis the simplistic being homeopathy.And anything is better than surgery.If something goes wrong the tonsils cannot be put back.This is just for the people who rush into surgery.I know many people have had no problems.I am writing my case here for information.If the human seed was designed to grow tonsils it must have a purpose.In the book "You and Neurosis" written by H.J.Eysenck there is a foot note which mentions that it is a documented fact in British Hospitals that out of 50 000 surgerys done for tonsillectomy 16 die and many more have complications which cannot be explained.
