hi, I was wondering the same thing about the weight gain while using Prednisone. I had to take large doses for about 16 months..and gained 20 lbs. I took prednisone because I was diagnoised with a very rare form of kidney disease. Started out at 80 mgs and over time went down to 2mg. I am currently in a remission and completely off the prednisone, but have had a very hard time losing the weight. I am very small and only weighed about 100 lbs when I started on the prednisone. It has been very depressing trying to lose and just can't seem to. I too got the round face, but am happy to say that did go away, but not the extra weight. look forward to hearing from you.
