I am a physical therapist. Aqua therapy is doing exercises in the water. This will help strengthen your muscles without any resistance. One clinic I worked at had an Aqua Ark which is a tank of water about 8 feet deep. You have a life perserver on for your saftey. The physical therapist designs an exercise program for you to do in the water. When your muscle strengthens then you can progress to land exercises. Building up muscle is a slow process so don't get discouraged. YOU should be able to strengthen your arm and also the muscles around the injured muscle. Strengthening these will help substitute for what you have lost. Hang in there. Find a good PT.
