I don't want to discourage anyone, but I have bilateral TOS. I had surgery on my left side done March 15, 2001. Soon to be one year. I guess they found a mess in there. I am still in constant pain. I am on very heavy duty meds for cronic pain. I had been working when all of this started 3 years ago. I have had 3 surgeries. Two before they decided I have TOS. I no longer have use of my upper extremities for more than a short time. I have been put on complete disability. I am only 50 years old so I had a lot of work years in front of me. I don't want to be a pessamist. Don't have surgery unless you absolutely have to. Sorry I have no better news. They had told me it would take 6 mos. then they decided it would take 9 mos. Now it is about 1 week short of a year. I don't expect it to get any better. Hope things go better for you. Linda
