I also get these headaches. They are horrendous. The pain goes up the back of my head to the front and encompasses my eyes, cheeks and ears. I do have the light/noise sensitivity and the nausea. I have also gone to the emergecy room on more than one occassion. They recognize the headache description but always classify it as a migraine. There are many types of atypical migraine and I guess the 'neck headaches' could be classified as such. I'm just thankful the drs finally realize these types of headaches are every bit as bad or worse than the 'typical' migraine. If they are just beginning to get worse for you I would recommend pursuing a way to retard the progression, if there is one. I can't help you there but I do wish you the best.
