In regards to her ADHD child. Alot of children have other disorders that have to be medicated for OCD along with a ADHD child. My child could not focus without his medicine. He is also 12 and does get worse. I believe each child is different and behaves different and did not take medicine until he was five years old. It helps him considerably with concentrating at school. Maureen
