I just wanted to pass along the name of a medication my doctor put me on when he diagnosed me with IBS. Donnatol, also known as Belladonna alkaloid tablets, are anti-spasmotic pills. With IBS, your colon goes into spasms, creating any combination of vomiting, loose stool, constipation, sometimes the passing of mucus or blood with or without stool, gas, etc. The pills help get rid of the spasms in your colon, and regulate your bowel movements. The pills are a take as needed type of medication, so you don't feel like you're a pill-popping maniac. These pills, in combination with taking foods which trigger the episodes out of your diet, help to minimize the problem to a manageable level. Good luck.
