I cannot imagine what it must be like for your son and for his mother who must rely on the so-called experts for help. Only they aren't such experts after all and most children are just guinea pigs for testing drugs. If I were you, I would get another Doctor. Also, get all the info off the internet that you can about bipolar. It doesn't all sound like bipolar but oppositional disorder. Also have his diet checked for too much sugars and that includes glucose producing carbohydrates. I am just an adult with bipolar and I am taking lithium. I have to feel good about myself in order for the chemicals to balance out in my brain that cause the mood swings. When only bad things continue to happen, there is nothing to build up the endodrphins which help a person to chill out. Just become as educated as you can about the various drugs your son is taking especially the side effects and their interaction with each other. Good Luck!
