DM
My rheumatologist called it "Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease"...which means you have some criteria that suggest an autoimmune disease (problem) but the doctor can not diagnose it as a specific disease like Lupus or MS, Skogrens, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. The diagnosis means that you may develop one or some of these autoimmune illnesses or you may not. I have no adverse symptoms, except I developed Graves Disease (hyperthyroid). I took Tapazole for 4 months and now I am in remission. However, I changed my diet (more protein & vegetables), eliminated several activities, started saying "No" to many projects and chose to better my health. I am off all medications and feel great. This diagnosis is an early wake up call...you can choose to eliminate stressors in your life and eat well, take vitamins (fish oil, B-complex, Vitamin C), and exercise or you can continue along your same path and most likely develop an autoimmune illness. It is a blessing that you have only this diagnosis...it will help you become more aware of who you are and what your choices are.
