I was just diagnosed with scleroderma (connective tissue disorder). I have been sick since December. It first started with a bad back ache. I was given a drug called Neurontin...that was when all my problems began. I was diagnosed with Raynaud's first...having my feet and hands turn color from white to purple then red, severe pain with this. I had carpal tunnel release surgury to releive the numbness in my hands due to the severe swelling. As of now my feet and hands have harden and are very painful. I can't stand for very long because my feet swell and are so painful to stand on. I have noticed changes in my skin color, looks like I have a tan where the scleroderma seems to be. At times I get a low grade fever and a rash, seems to ich. My daughter had to take me to the emergency room Saturday beacause my face swelled up real bad. I guess it is progessing to my face now. It has only been 5 months! They gave me steroids through my veins. I have enjoyed three very good days since with no pain....can't get enough food though...lol. I live in Pensacola, Fl. and don't know anyone that has heard of this diease except medical profession. Write me if you would like to talk. Wish you well,Linda
