Sharon, I sure can sympathize with you and the RLS. There is some help out there. I have had an extremely bad case of them, which were made worse by antidepressants. I was on Sinemet for awhile which worked wonders until it started causing rebound and augmentation, making them worse than they were. I am now on Ultram and one Mirapex. The Ultram was prescribed for back pain while I was taking the Sinemet. I realized it was helping the RLS and was able to get off the Sinemet. There seems to be a connection between Dopamine and the syndrome. I take five 50mg. Ultram daily (with meals) and the one Mirapex about 9 p.m. I still sometimes have them mildly, but not to the place I can't ride in a car, sit in church, even sit down to relax when they were so bad. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about prescribing the Mirapex. Good luck. If I can be anymore help to you e-mail me. Lou
