My son is 7 and he is on Lactulose also. When he was first put on it they found that his entire large intestines were full and had him on suppositories 2x a day for 3 days to clean him out. During this time he was on lactulose for 3 months every day and then every other day for the next 9 months. He is doing much better and has even stopped wetting the bed.
