See the book called Autism and Asperger Syndrome, by Uta Frith. Characteristics are: Unusual interests which they may talk incessantly about, lack of instinctive social habits, teased and bullied, excessively concerned with doing the right thing, socially inept but socially interested,monotone speech pattern,speak fluently from age 5. Related to ADHD. Some also have Tourette's Syndrome. It's thought to be a subcatagory of Autism. Hope this helps.
