Gout is indeed painful and the attacks can be most severe.fortunately ALLOPURINOL was prescribed for me and it has held it at bay.If you digress too far from diet and overdo you may have an attack. Mine were severe and walking most difficult. This I am sure is a very painful form of arthritis. as i said the RX I mentioned took effect about two weeks after starting so do not get discouraged. i still have swollen feet and ankles but delight in being able to walk about and feeling good. hope everything goes well.
