Chronic EBV

Beth

Message 4 of 12 Previous Next

I hope you find answers, I too have chronic fatigue syndrome, since 1988. I have no answers and simply have learned to live around my symptoms. If I have something that will require a lot of energy,(so to speak)I have to rest ahead of time. I know when my voice starts to fade, I better slow down and if I go on 'til my throat hurts and/or pressure points become painful, I know that I will be in bed for three days or I will lose muscle control and my gait will become a stagger and/or I will wet the bed. It is so hard to live with this, let alone try to hold a job. I have not been gainfully employed since this hit! I am fortunate enough to own my own "sign-making" business and I work at it at my peak times. I wish I had an answer for you, all I can say is that if you can identify and manage your own trigger/or "here-it-comes-again" symptoms, you will find it easier to deal with. People not understanding is a huge deal, my own son did not believe I was so sick and thought I was just lazy, until he came down with it himself. He has been very supportive and is now trying to raise a new baby, work, and take college classes. He will probably not be able to do it all. His boss did not know until he told him that he could not go to school full time and work full time. He couldn't understand why a 26 year-old did not have the energy for all that! God Bless You and give you the strength to carry on!! Sorry to go on like that! Please let me know if you find out anything in your search for answers. Sincerely, Beth
