I had terrible bronchitis for 2 months when I noticed shortness of breath. My husband took me to the ER and the doc said it was allergies and put me on Zyrtec. That night I had an asthma attack in my sleep and if it wasn’t because my cousin (has asthma) had given me an inhaler, just in case, I wouldn’t be here right now. I have what its called Variant Asthma, triggered by allergens and stress. I saw a pulmonologist, who did a test for asthma and it can back positive. I took my Rx and now I get short of breath very little and have not had a severe asthma attack. Best wishes and have faith.
