I had RF as a child. As an adult, I still have a heart murmer, suffer from joint pain in knees, hips and arms, tendonitis in wrists and elbows. However, my mother, now deceased, had athritis and bursitis but never had RF. My brother and sister never had the same problems I do and they never had RH, so I am thinking that my mom did but didn't tell me.
