My mom, who is now deceased, had rheumatic fever in her youth. I know she suffered from arthritis, rashes, and a heart murmur. She also experienced difficult pregnancies with all of her 3 kids. We were all premature and one did not survive. Now that I'm older and considering having kids I'm wondering if her difficult pregnancies were attributed to the rheumatic fever or could she have had another problem that could be hereditary. Since she's not here for me to ask I would appreciate any feedback.
